The London and North Eastern Railway used a small number of petrol and diesel locomotives.〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/ic.shtml〕 These included the LNER Class Y11 petrol locomotives, the diesel shunters which later became British Rail Class D3/9 and British Rail Class D3/14 and the Kitson-Still steam diesel hybrid locomotive. During the 1930s, Armstrong Whitworth supplied an experimental 1-Co-1 diesel-electric locomotive 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/aw_1co1.shtml〕 and several diesel-electric railcars.〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/aw_railcar.shtml〕 In the 1940s, the LNER had some main-line diesel locomotives on order. These would have been similar to the British Rail Class D16/1 and British Rail Class D16/2 but the order was cancelled after nationalisation in 1948. ==Petrol railcars== The LNER inherited several petrol railcars from its constituent companies: * NER petrol inspection car 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/inspection.shtml〕 * NER petrol-electric autocars 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/ner_petrolelectric.shtml〕 (these were similar in body style to the Tyneside Electrics) * NER petrol rail motor bus 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/ner_petrol_bus.shtml〕 * NER petrol autocar 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/ner_petrol_autocar.shtml〕 * GCR petrol-electric railcar 〔http://www.lner.info/locos/IC/gcr_petrolelectric.shtml〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「LNER internal combustion locomotives」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
